“High-Speed CNC Machine Tool Ceramic Spindle Unit” was awarded the second class prize in National Technology Invention Award in 2010. The project conducts innovation in basic theory and applied research to the key technology of “High-Speed CNC Machine Tool Ceramic Spindle Unit”, inventing the patent technologies of “A Non-inner Ring Type Hot Isostatic Pressing Silicon Nitride All Ceramic Ball Bearing and Its Manufacturing Method” and “A Hot Isostatic Pressing Silicon Nitride All Ceramic Electric Spindle and Its Manufacturing Method” Through these patents, a high-speed precision ceramic ball bearings, high-speed and high-power ceramic ball bearings and high-speed electric spindle unit with non-inner spindle unit type full ceramic products were successfully developed, with a high level in technology, precision long life, stable and reliable and reasonable cost, etc, which fundamentally solves the key technology problem of the impact on CNC machine tool spindle performance and quality, greatly improving the high-speed CNC machine tool spindle system stiffness, accuracy, service life and reliability.
