School of Mechanical engineering has a complete and consistent talent-development system of Undergraduate, masters, PhD with a post-doctoral research station, which is a member institute of the mechanical professional teaching steering committee. "mechanical design manufacturing and automation", the first batch of internationalization and comprehensive reform pilot professional in Liaoning province. The school was ranked on the top of provincial colleges and universities in the disciplinary evaluation in 2013.

The school now has 120 full-time teachers, 23 post-doctoral fellows, 4 Ph.Dcandidates, 181 Post-graduates, more than 1200 Undergraduates and international exchanged students.
In the national implementation of manufacturing power strategy in the first decade of the "Made in China 2025", and through the double first-class discipline construction, the school will further strengthen the discipline constructions in engineering ceramic components manufacturing technology, architectural engineering, high-speed spindle system and digital technology to reached the domestic leading position, and strive to achieve the national first class level in 2025.
