Engineering Technology Research Center of Liaoning Province of NC Machining Equipment and Technology of Special Shaped Stone was approved to be built from Department of Science and Technology of Liaoning Province and Liaoning Province Finance Department in 2008 and passed the inspection in 2010. The center takes NC Machining Equipment and Technology of Special Shaped Stone as its core research direction and established scientific research cooperation mechanism as well as training and testing base with Shenyang Machine Tool Group Co..Ltd, Northern Heavy Industries Group Co..Ltd, Universal Marble & Granite Group (UMGG) and Shenyang Xin Zhengyang Stone Industry Group. The centers aims to strengthen the services for the local economic construction and to achieve the revitalization of service function of Liaoning old industrial base, making it the national stone processing talents training base and the unique engineering technology center.
The center has 26 fixed personnel, including 12 professors and 8 associate professors, with more than 100 equipments of total value to 30 million yuan.
