National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of NC Machining Equipment and Technology of High-Grade Stone was jointly built under the framework of industry, education and research by Shenyang Jianzhu University, Shenyang Machine Tool Group Co..Ltd and Shenyang institute of computing technology, Chinese academy of sciences. The laboratory has one main experiment base, two industrial bases and one pilot application base, with over 200 experimental instruments, equipments with total value of 3 million yuan and 5200㎡ of research and development area. In the light of the urgent need of automation, intelligence, high-speed, high-efficiency and economical development of the stone industry, the laboratory has developed the world-class high-grade stone CNC machining equipment and complete sets of technology to meet the needs of the core technical problems in high-grade stone processing technology and equipment technology. Stone industry development needs to enhance the overall level of China's building decoration industry, to promote the economic restructuring of related industries, and to upgrade the engineering laboratory into the international advanced level of high-grade stone processing equipment and technology national local joint innovation platform, uplifting to the leading R & D institution in stone and equipment manufacturing industry. The team also tries to promote domestic CNC equipment, key functional components, tool technology and numerical control system technology and to cultivate new economic growth point. In recent years, engineering laboratory has made a number of innovative research results in the fields of hard and brittle material cutting mechanism, high-speed spindle unit technology, building decoration stone software, stone CNC machining equipment.
